Washington Redskins:
Ryan Kerrigan picked off a Ben Roethlisberger pass at the line of scrimmage in the first quarter, then rambled 22 yards in the end zone for the first score of the night, helping set the tone for the Washington Redskins 24-13 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers in the second Pre Season game of the season for both teams at Fed Ex Field.. Kerrigan also had a strip of backup QB Bruce Gradkowski, leading to a Redskin recovery. Rex Grossman and Pat White again had good nights, taking turns on offense at quarterback. Grossman hit Leonard Hankerson in the second quarter for a 10 yard touchdown, while White earned a number of 1st downs with his quick foot work. Roy Helu Jr wrapped up the game with a 30 yard scamper into the end zone late in the game to seal the victory for Washington All eyes however, were focused on current Redskins starter Kirk Cousins early in the 2nd quarter as the former Michigan State star was tackled while scrambling out of bounds. Cousins was favoring his right foot, walking off the field to the locker room. X Rays came back negative for Cousins who suffered a right mid foot strain. The Redskins will now prepare for their third pre season game this Saturday at Fed Ex Field against the Buffalo Bills.

NASCAR: Tony Stewart done for the season:
As expected, 3- time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Champion Tony Stewart is out for the remainder of the season after suffering a broken right tibia and fibula in a sprint car crash August 5th in Iowa. Stewart is expected back in the car in time for Pre Season testing in January of 2014.

For the balance of the season, Mark Martin will drive the Bass Pro Shops/Mobil 1 Chevy this weekend at Bristol, as well as 11 other races for the 2013 season. Austin Dillon, who subbed for Stewart this past weekend at Michigan, will drive the car at Talladega Superspeedway October 18-20. The move to put Martin in the car comes just 1 week following the announcement that Brian Vickers would drive the Aarons Dream Machine for Michael Waltrip Racing fulltime in 2014. Martin, who shares the ride with Vickers on a part time basis, came within 3 laps of winning Sundays Pure Michigan 400 when a gamble on stretching fuel sputtered, handing Joey Logano his 3rd career NASCAR Sprint Cup Series win.

Baltimore Orioles:
Matt Joyce and Evan Longoria both homered, helping the Tampa Bay Rays to a series opening 4-3 win over the Baltimore Orioles Monday evening at Camden Yards. The Orioles, facing reigning American League Cy Young winner David Price, pounded Price for 10 hits, but went 2-11 with runners in scoring position. Chris Tillman gave up 4 runs off 5 hits through 6 innings in the loss. The Orioles and Rays will continue their series later this evening with Alex Cobb going against Miguel Gonzalez.
