ANNAPOLIS, MD –  Lt. Governor Boyd Rutherford delivered the keynote address at the Maryland Association of Counties (MACo) Winter Conference Inaugural Banquet in Cambridge, Md. At the conference, he also installed the 2019 MACo Board of Directors slate.

“No administration can effectively govern this state without a strong partnership between the state and all of our local jurisdictions working together. The Maryland Association of Counties has been an incredible partner for our administration, and we will continue to do everything we can to foster that partnership,” said Lt. Governor Rutherford. “I’d like to thank everyone at MACo and all of our local leaders for the important work that you all do year-round on behalf of Maryland’s counties.”

MACo represents Maryland’s 23 counties and Baltimore City, providing public policy advocacy, educational training and events, and cost-saving partnership opportunities. Attendees of this winter conference – themed “Charting the Course” – explored how county government works and examined policy issues facing Maryland.
