At 11:45 p.m. Aug. 28, Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to Walgreens located at 25 High Street in Waldorf for the report of an armed robbery.
Investigation revealed a male suspect entered the store, approached a clerk, brandished a knife and stole cash from one of the registers.
Cpl. C. Roberts and his K9 partner responded to the scene, conducted a track and located the suspect on a path near St. Thomas Drive.
The suspect was identified as William Thomas Chisley, 37, of Waldorf. Chisley was arrested without incident and charged with armed robbery, first-degree assault and theft valued at less than $500.
He was being held at the Charles County Detention Center pending an appearance before a district court commissioner. Officer P. DeBoe investigated.
