On August 18, at 8:57 a.m., Tpr. E. J. Page stopped a silver Buick on Three Notch Road, south of Great Mills Road in Lexington Park for exceeding the posted speed limit. When contact was made with the rear seated passenger he assumed the identity of his mentally handicapped brother. A call was placed to his mother at which time the subject revealed his true identity as Martin Lee Bundy, 45 of Waldorf.
He stated he assumed his brother identity to avoid being arrested on an open warrant in Prince Georges County and two open warrants through Charles County. Bundy was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where he was charged accordingly and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner. Bundy was also served with the open warrants accordingly.
