At 9 p.m. March 28, TFC J. Linger of the Leonardtown trooper barrack stopped a vehicle for speeding, 71 mph in a 40 mph zone, on Route 243 at Timberline Court in Compton.
On contact with the driver, Barrett Paige Johnson, 20, of Compton, marijuana was observed on the front passenger seat.
During a search incident to arrest, a switch blade knife was found in his pants pocket. A further search of the vehicle revealed pieces of marijuana throughout and a ceramic pipe containing marijuana was found in the driver’s seat pocket.
Johnson was charged with possession of a concealed deadly weapon, possession of marijuana, and possession of CDS paraphernalia.
He was taken to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and held pending a bail review.
