On July 3, at approximately 1 p.m., TFC J. Edelen was on routine patrol on eastbound Post Office Road in the area of Industrial Park Drive when he made a traffic stop on Eric Denon Cooke, 37 years of Indian Head.
While speaking with Cooke, Sergeant C. Force of the Maryland State Police arrived on the scene with her K-9, Maddie, and conducted a scan on the vehicle with positive alert.
Cooke was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance of schedule IV, Ambien, and did possess a controlled dangerous substance of schedule I, marijuana.
