Charles County officers responded to the 1500 block of Bryan Court in Waldorf on Jan. 31 at 6:30 p.m., for the report of an assault between acquaintances.
Upon arrival, officers located a 57-year-old male inside a townhouse suffering from stab wounds. The victim was transported to a hospital where he was admitted with serious injuries. Officers located the suspect, Kenny Earl Morris, 53, of Waldorf, inside the house.
Detectives responded and learned the victim and suspect, who are known to each other, were inside the suspect’s townhouse when they began arguing over a parking space; the suspect claimed the victim parked in his spot.
During the argument, the suspect grabbed a knife and stabbed the victim several times. Morris was arrested and charged with attempted murder, first-degree assault and second-degree assault. Det. G. Higgs is investigating.
