On Aug. 7 at 2:40 a.m., Stephen Dean Andrews, 52 of California, was arrested by Tpr. M. Pitcher for possession of Cocaine and CDS paraphernalia.
Andrews was operating a black Nissan truck when he was stopped on state Route 4 in California for failing to drive in a single lane. During the course of the traffic stop, contact was made with Andrews and a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emitting from his breath.
Andrews was given roadside sobriety tests and was subsequently arrested for DWI/DUI. Andrews was transported to the Leonardtown Barrack for processing.
A secondary search resulted in the recovery of a pill box which contained a green plastic straw with cocaine. He was later transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where he was detained and charged accordingly.
