On Dec. 11, Cpl. J Somerville responded to Tintop School Road in Mechanicsville, for a report of an assault in progress.
Investigation revealed Kevin Joseph Holt, 40 of Mechanicsville, was involved in a verbal dispute with the victim which escalated into a physical assault when Holt pushed and kicked the victim several times.
Holt was arrested and charged with second-degree assault.
