On Feb. 19 at 7:54 p.m., Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to the 10400 block of O’Donnell Place in Waldorf for the report of a pedestrian accident.
Investigation revealed the victim, William Patrick Ticer, 31 of Waldorf, was crossing Smallwood Drive near O’Donnell Place when he was struck by a GMC Yukon which was traveling east on Smallwood Drive. The driver of the SUV stopped and called police. Paramedics arrived and pronounced the victim deceased.
Cpl. R. H. Taylor of the Traffic Operations Unit is continuing the investigation.
