On Feb. 4, the victim and Kevin Ernest Bryant, 42 of Lexington Park, were in a verbal dispute which turned physical when Bryant grabbed the victim and slammed her head into a bed several times. Bryant then shoved the victim to the floor and kicked her in the stomach.
A third party separated the couple and the victim called the police. Kevin Bryant fled the residence in a blue 1997 Ford Taurus. While DFC Maletto was at the scene investigating the assault, Deputy Reithmeyer observed the vehicle on Three Notch Road in the area of Buck Hewitt road and stopped it. Deputy Reithmeyer identified the driver as Bryant.
Kevin Bryant was arrested for second-degree assault.
