On July 24 at 11:15 p.m., Charles County Sheriffโ€™s officers responded to the BP Gas Station located at 3351 Marshall Hall Road in Bryans Road for the report of a fight in progress.

While en route, officers received information indicating a blue passenger car occupied by three people involved in the fight was fleeing the scene. Officer D. Harrison observed the vehicle heading south on Indian Head Highway and conducted an investigative stop.

The occupants reported being victims in the fight. During the investigation, officers discovered one occupant, Tommy Ankely Parker, Jr., 21 of Clinton, was in possession of a handgun, marijuana and brass knuckles. Officers arrested him and charged him with handgun possession, marijuana possession and carrying a weapon.

The other occupants, a 19-year-old Washington, D.C., male and a 21-year-old Accokeek male, were not charged with any crimes.

Parker was being held at the Charles County Detention Center pending an appearance before a district court commissioner.
