At 1:31 a.m. April 20, Richard Arthur Binger, Jr., 40, of Scotland, was arrested by TFC P. Trossbach for DUI, Possession of Cocaine, Resisting Arrest, and Fugitive Other Area.
Binger was operating a gray Ford F-150 south bound on Route 5 in Ridge when he was stopped for exceeding the posted speed limit.
During the course of the traffic stop, Trooper Trossbach made contact with Binger and detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emitting from his breath and person.
Binger resisted arrest and was taken into custody. A search incident to the arrest revealed he was in possession of Cocaine.
A routine check through NCIC/MVA revealed Binger had an outstanding warrant through the Anne Arundel County, in addition to driving on a suspended and revoked driver’s license.
Binger was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where he is being detained on $100,000 bond pending his court appear and release to the Anne Arundel County Sheriff’s Office.
