Man Killed in Two-Vehicle Collision on Crain Highway

ODENTON, Md. — A 31-year-old man was killed in a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Crain Highway North and Saint Stephens Church Road on Sunday evening.

Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene at approximately 7:35 p.m. on November 24, 2024. Preliminary investigations indicate that a 2016 Chevrolet Cruze, driven by Joseph A. Amatangelo IV, attempted to cross Crain Highway North when it was struck by a 2015 Chevrolet Camaro traveling northbound.

Amatangelo, a resident of Upper Marlboro, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The 18-year-old driver of the Camaro, whose name has not been released, was unharmed.

The Anne Arundel County Police Department Traffic Safety Section is leading the investigation into the crash.
