Ridge, MD– A man from Ridge, MD has been charged with first-degree assault and second-degree assault after punching a family member and threatening his brother with a knife.

On Sep.11, James P. Bond began arguing at a home on Robinson Lane, according to reports.

According to charging documents, Bond began arguing about his brother’s daughter, then he grabbed a knife from his brother’s hand. Bond waved the knife in his brother’ face and punched his brother in the head.

After the confrontation, Bond ran from the scene.

A summons was later issued and Bond was placed into custody at the St. Mary’s County Detention Center.

Bond is being held on a $100,000 bond and faces a maximum jail sentence of 35 years and/or a maximum fine of $2,500.
