Randy L. Cox
California, MD— On March 26, Deputy R. Steinbach from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office responded to San Souci Plaza in California, for the report of two people loitering.
When Steinbach arrived on the scene, he made contact with the suspect, who appeared to be concealing something in his pocket. According to charging documents, “the defendant continued to put his right hand into his right pocket front pants pocket.”
Cox was asked a second time if he had any weapons and again, refused to answer. During a pat down of the defendant, who was identified as Randy L. Cox, 24, of Lexington Park, a pair of metal knuckles in Cox’s right front pants pocket were discovered.
Cox was arrested and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center for charges of dangerous weapon concealment. At this time, Cox does not have a scheduled court date.
Cox faces a maximum jail sentence of three years and/or a maximum fine of $1,000.
