Kendall J. Bucklerย

Charlotte Hall, MD— On May 26, St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Bare responded to Three Notch Road in Charlotte Hall to assist Pfc. Kimble of the Charles County Sheriff’s Office with a report of a suspicious individual.

Bare made contact with the suspect, Kendall James Buckler, 27 of Hughesville, who had been loitering on the property. Buckler refused to comply with several requests from the deputies to leave the property.

Kimble immediately observed “the cap of a syringe sticking out of the top of a shirt pocket that Buckler was wearing,” according to charging documents.

Kimble informedย Buckler to turn around and put his hands on the wall. Buckler complied with the first request, but continued reachingย down into his pockets.ย

Subsequently, he was placed in handcuffs and searched, at which point deputies discovered two syringes and a substance believed to be heroin.

Buckler was transported to the St. Maryโ€™s County Detention Center and charged with CDS possession/not marijuana, CDS possession/paraphernalia and resisting arrest.ย

At this time, Buckler does not have a scheduled court date. He faces a maximum jail sentence ofย seven years and/or a maximum fine of $35,000.ย
