Nelson Gilbert Peresta

Owings, MD – On March 31, Dfc. Aaron Locke was performing a patrol check at the Dash-in in Owings. While on patrol, he observed a parked silver Saturn with the driver slumped over the wheel and not moving.ย

According to charging documents, โ€œI approached the vehicle to check on the person, and noticed a fold of paper with a substance in it in his left hand, and a white, red and yellow straw in his right hand. He was attempting to snort the substance into his nose.โ€

Locke knocked on the window, and the man, later identified as Nelson Gilbert Peresta, 24 of Churchton, abruptly stopped what he was doing. Peresta complied with the officer’s orders, and got out of the vehicle where he was placed under arrest.

After being placed in the patrol vehicle, Peresta told the Locke the substance was heroin that he was attempting to snort.
