Marines Fly Eight F-35 Jets at One Time

VMFAT-501 at Eglin AFB on Friday executed an eight-ship F-35 launch for air-to-air and air-to-ground training, completed hot refueling on all eight jets and launched them on a second mission.  They also completed 16 sorties in three hours.

Lockheed Martin, in a release, said, “This is considered one more step forward for the Warlords of 501, the Lockheed Martin and Eglin teams and the F-35 program.”
