MARLOW HEIGHTS, Md. — The newly renovated Marlow Heights Community Center has earned regional recognition for its construction and design.
The M-NCPPC Department of Parks and Recreation, Prince George’s County’s Capital Planning and Development Division, and MCN Build received an ENR MidAtlantic Award of Merit in the Sports and Entertainment category for the community center project.
The ENR MidAtlantic Best Projects Awards recognize construction and design projects across Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, and Washington, D.C.
Projects are evaluated based on several factors, including how teams overcome construction challenges, contributions to the industry and community, safety, and overall construction and design quality.
Prince George’s County Parks and Recreation partnered with MCN Build on the Marlow Heights project, which reopened to the public in spring 2025.
The facility spans more than 20,000 square feet and was designed to provide recreational and leisure programming for residents in the Marlow Heights community.
According to Parks and Recreation, the project was developed to meet a range of community needs while providing a long-term recreational resource for residents.
The award recognizes the project team’s work in developing the new facility and its contribution to the surrounding community.
