St. Mary’s County, MD – Senator Steve Waugh (R- St. Mary’s County) has announced he has received the endorsement of the Maryland Farm Bureau. As a member of the Senate Education, Health and Environmental Affairs Committee, Senator Waugh has fought for Southern Maryland’s ag community, ensuring our working farmers are protected from burdensome legislation and regulation.
Senator Waugh stated “I am proud to fight for one of the most vital economic drivers of our State. The Southern Maryland agricultural business is strong, but needs a bulldog in Annapolis fighting for them. My voting record supports my efforts to preserve and protect Maryland farmers. I am honored to receive this endorsement and pledge to continue to work for the St. Mary’s and Calvert ag communities.”
Senator Waugh represents District 29 which includes St. Mary’s and Southern Calvert Counties in the Maryland State Senate. He is a member of the Senate Education, Health and Environmental Affairs Committee and the Administrative, Executive and Legislative Review Committee, both of which tackle agricultural issues in Maryland.
