
SOUTHERN MARYLAND — Looking for a summer job outdoors? The Maryland Park Service is hiring seasonal staff across several Southern Maryland parks for the 2026 season, offering positions starting at $17.15 per hour and the chance to spend the summer working in some of the region’s most scenic public lands.
Positions are available at Cedarville State Forest, Merkle Natural Resources Management Area, Smallwood State Park, Calvert Cliffs State Park, and Rosaryville State Park, according to the job listing.
Seasonal contracts are expected to run between Memorial Day and Labor Day, depending on operational needs at each park location.

- Park Ranger
- Maintenance Worker
- Contact Station / Concession Attendant
Staff in these roles help with visitor services, park programs, trail and facility maintenance, and day-to-day park operations during the busy spring and summer months.
