On 8/29/2021, Tfc Kaszubski conducted a traffic stop in the area of Three Notch Road and Airport Road, California, MD.  Upon making contact with the occupants, an odor of marijuan was detected. A probable cause search of the vehicle revealed Marijuana less than 10grams belonging to the driver, identified as Clarence
Eugene Hardesty, Jr, 31 of  Charlotte Hall, MD. The passenger, identified as Christina Michelle Hardesty, 40 of Charlotte Hall, MD was found to have CDS Paraphernalia and the rear passenger, identified as Justin Lee Williams, 29 of California, MD was found to have CDS-Not Marijuana.  Christina Hardesty and Justin Williams were placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and charged with CDS: Possess-Not Marijuana.

On 8/31/2021, Tpr Jeremy Pope conducted a traffic stop in the area of Three Notch Road and Town Creek Drive, California, MD. Upon making contact with the operator, an odor of marijuana was detected.  The driver, identified as Sean Marquise Hughes, 18 of Waldorf, MD refused to exit the vehicle and attempted to flee. Tfc T. Howard was able to put the vehicle in park and Hughes was removed from the vehicle.  A search revealed a loaded handgun with an extended magazine under the driver’s seat; approximately 23 grams of Marijuana; a digital scale; two (2) cell phones; and $489 in U.S. currency. Hughes was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and charged with Knowingly Alter Firearm ID Number; Firearm Use/Felony/Violent Crime; Possess Regulated Firearm being under 21; Loaded Handgun in Vehicle; Firearm/Drug Trafficking Crime; CDS: Distribute with Firearm; Handgun; Wear/Carry and Transport in Vehicle; CDS: Possess w/Intent to Distribute; CD: Possess Marijuana 10 Grams+; Resist/Interfere with Arrest; Cds: Possess Paraphernalia; Failure to Obey a Reasonable and Lawful Order.

On 8/31/2021, Tpr C. Riggs conducted a traffic stop in the area of Hollywood Road and Old Hollywood Road, Hollywood, MD.  The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit assisted by conducting a K9 scan which resulted in a positive alert for the presence of narcotics. The driver was identified as Jerry Allen Stone, 52 of Hollywood, MD.  CDS Not Marijuana (Oxycodone) and Marijuana Less than 10grams was located inside the vehicle.  Stone was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where he was charged with CDS: Possess-Not Marijuana.

On 8/31/2021, Tfc A. Piscopo-Bann conducted a traffic stop in the area of Pegg Road and Three Notch Road, Lexington Park, MD.  The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit assisted by conducting a K9 scan which resulted in a positive alert for the presence of narcotics. A search of the vehicle revealed CDS-Not Marijuana (Crack Cocaine) inside the vehicle. The passenger, identified as Keon William Sanders, 33 of Lexington Park, claimed ownership of the CDS.  He was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and charged with Possession of CDS: Not Marijuana and Possession of CDS: Paraphernalia.
