Pikesville, MD — Maryland state troopers from nine barracks across the state will take part in National Night Out on August 6.

National Night Out provides an opportunity for neighbors to get to know each other and local law enforcement better with the aim of building a stronger community.

For the past 35 years, National Night Out has been on the first Tuesday in August. In neighborhoods all over the state, residents and law enforcement officers socialize at cookouts, festivals, and community events in hopes of building stronger connections to help keep neighborhoods safe.

Maryland State Police will take part in the following events:

  • Annapolis Barrack Troopers will participate in events at Fort Meade and downtown Annapolis
  •  Bel Air Barrack — Patterson Mill High School, 85 Patterson Mill Rd. Bel Air, Md.
  • Berlin Barrack Troopers will be at Henry Park, 127 Flower St., Berlin, Md., Byrd Park, 400 Dighton Ave. Snow Hill Md., Cypress Park, 7 Bridge St. Pocomoke City, Md., Fiesta Park 420 141st St. Ocean City, Md.
  • Centreville Barrack will be at Centreville Lawyers Row, 102 N. Liberty St., Centreville, Md.
  • College Park Barrack 36th Anniversary National Night Out takes place at Beckett Field, 8511 Legation Rd., New Carrolltown, Md.
  • Cumberland Barrack will be at Country Club Mall 1262 Vocke Rd., La Vale, Md.
  • Easton Barrack  will be at Moton Park 501Port St., Easton Md., Dorchester County Pool 105 Virginia Ave. Cambridge, Md.
  • Forestville Barrack will be at the New Carrolltown Police Department, Beckett Field, 8511 Legation Field, New Carrolltown, Md.
  • Frederick Barrack will be at the Walkersville Fire Department, 79 W. Frederick St., Walkersville, Md., Lake Linganore, 6718 Coldstream Dr., New Market, Md., Thurmont Police Department, 800 E. Main St., Thurmont, Md.
