Annapolis, MD – Area school districts are rolling out math and language assessments in compliance with a new state requirement to measure the readiness of rising high school seniors for college or careers. And districts are taking creative approaches to meeting the state’s college-and-career testing requirement that impacts 11th-grade students.

New assessments comply with the College and Career Readiness and College Completion Act of 2013, and should ready students for demands of the Maryland job market that in two years will require postsecondary education for the majority of employment positions.
