On August 23rd, Sheriff’s Office Deputy James Stone responded to a call for a domestic assault at a Mechanicsville residence.

Once on the scene Deputy Stone noted signs of injury to the victim, Elizabeth Ann Fisher, age 46, of Mechanicsville.

The investigation revealed that a verbal dispute had turned physical and James C. Fisher, age 47, of Mechanicsville, assaulted the victim by striking her in the face with a closed fist.
