At 3:24 pm, on Jan. 7, Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to the 190 block of St. Patrick’s Drive in Waldorf for the report of an armed robbery on a bike path. Investigation revealed the victim, a 30-year-old Waldorf man, was walking on the bike path when he was approached by two suspects. One of the suspects brandished a handgun, choked him, stole money and fled the scene.
At 8:44 p.m., Sheriff’s officers responded to the same location for the report of a strong-arm robbery. Investigation revealed another victim, also a 30-year-old Waldorf man, was walking on the same bike path when he was approached by three to five suspects who punched and kicked him. The victim sustained minor injuries but refused medical treatment.
