Ft. Meade, MD – One suspect is dead as a result of an incident that occurred Monday morning, March 30 at the gate of the National Security Agency’s (NSA) facility. Various news services report a security guard fired on two men—both disguised as women and traveling in a vehicle that was reportedly stolen. The pair was attempting to enter the facility.
The second suspect is in custody. Neither suspect has been identified.
The investigation is being handled by the NSA with the assistance of the FBI.
Federal officials have stated they do not believe the incident is related to terrorism.
