Michael William Parshley passed away on January 8, 2026, at his home in Lemoore, California.
Michael was born on October 29, 1993, in Franklin, New Hampshire, to Jason Parshley and Melissa Anne Lewis Parshley. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy as an Aviation Electronics Technician, a role that reflected his dedication, discipline, and commitment to service.
He is survived by his parents, Jason Parshley and Melissa Anne Lewis Parshley; his brothers, Joel Dennis and Mark Edward; and his grandparents, James William Lewis, Shirlene Anne Lewis, and Barbara Elizabeth Parshley. He also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who will cherish his memory. Michael was preceded in death by his grandfather, Dennis Carroll Parshley.
Michael found purpose and gratification in his service in the Navy, following in his father’s footsteps as an Aviation Electronics Technician. He joined the Navy in 2013 with boot camp training in Great Lakes followed by Navy Aviation Electronics Technician โAโ School in Pensacola Florida. His first duty station at AIMD at NAS Jacksonville FL had him performing intermediate level maintenance and repair on aircraft electrical components in support of various local naval aircraft.
His following tours included NAS Lemoore and the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower where he worked onboard as a calibration technician. As a calibration technician he felt he had found his calling in life and discussed plans to continue in this work after his time in the Navy. He also found a special joy in working damage control and shipboard firefighting, eventually advancing to a member of the damage control training team. Michael completed two full deployment cycles onboard the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower supporting the fight against terror groups in the middle east and the Isreal Hamas War. This earned him multiple decorations including a combat action ribbon.
Upon leaving the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower he went for his second tour in NAS Lemoore in California.
Michael was an avid reader and principally loved fantasy novels, a joy he carried over to his personal life and his love of the social game Dungeons and Dragons. He would frequently talk at length to family and friends about a particular or current campaign he had or was enjoying. His social group in Dungeons and Dragons had him campaigning with friends from across the world.
Other hobbies of his included riding his motorcycle and would frequently take solo adventures to see the sights nearby and especially enjoyed the times in which his father would join him on his rides. His personality rarely saw him at home. A trait he picked up from his parents during the families time in Japan in his youth.
