Mike Evans Endorses Assistant Sheriff, Lieutenant Colonel Dave McDowell for Sheriff

PRINCE FEDERICK, Md. – Sheriff Mike Evans released the following statement today on his Facebook page:

The decision not to seek re-election was not an easy one.  Knowing this man, Assistant Sheriff, Lieutenant Colonel Dave McDowell will be running for Sheriff, puts me at ease.  Dave’s experience and “tested and proven leadership” throughout his career makes him the most qualified candidate to lead the Sheriff’s Office into the future.

Though I am friends with the other Sheriff candidates, who have accomplished much in their careers, I am endorsing Lieutenant Colonel McDowell as Calvert County’s next Sheriff.  I ask that you support him, as you have me for so many years.

Lt. Col. McDowell will be officially announcing his candidacy for Sheriff at the end of the month.
