Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack Trooper Oyler initiated a traffic stop on Friday, September 12th at 3:57 p.m. on a gold passenger car in the area of Route 235 and Route 245 for a minor traffic infraction.
A probable cause search was conducted, resulting in the recovery of CDS. The driver, Nicole Babette Smith, 48, of Lusby, was arrested and charged with Possession of CDS – Not Marijuana.
She was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
