At approximately 6 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 16, in Prince Frederick on Main Street near Route 4, the Prince Frederick Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad responded to a motorcycle accident. Squad 2 and Ambulance 4 along with the Medic Unit and Huntingtown Squad were all dispatched, but Huntingtown Squad was placed in service shortly thereafter.
First responders found a single male with injuries and decided that helicopter transport would be required. Landing site would be handled by Prince Frederick Engine 22.
The patient was treated and transported by ambulance to the Maryland State Police Medevac helicopter landing site so he could be transported.
The patient suffered injuries to right leg and his left arm. The extent of his injuries is not known at this time. More information will be released as it is made available by authorities.
