Press Release – On September 29 at 3:56 p.m., officers responded to the area of Billingsley Road near Leonardtown Road and Piney Church Road in Waldorf for the report of a motorcycle accident. Initial investigation revealed that a motorcycle was traveling west on Billingsley Road when the driver left the roadway for unknown reasons before striking a sign and a tree. The driver, a 17-year-old male, was flown to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. The Traffic Operations Unit is investigating.
Update 7:25 p.m. Billingsley Road has been reopened.
Update 4:14 p.m.- Billingsley Rd Closed from Leonardtown Rd to Piney Church Rd on the westbound side.
(Waldorf, MD) At 3:56 p.m. a motorcycle was reported off of Billingsly Road near the dump in the tree line. Police units are on the scene and a MEDEVAC has been requested.
Use caution in the area, and expect delays.
