At 10:55 p.m. Aug. 24, members of the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene of a motorcycle crash on Md. Rt. 4 at Calverton School Road in Huntingtown.
A 2004 Yamaha motorcycle, traveling northbound being driven by Daniel P. Anderson, 21 of Owings struck a 2002 Toyota Highlander being driven by Tina L. Dorsey, 47 of Huntingtown.
The motorcycle struck the SUV in the rear, causing Anderson to lose control and be ejected.
He was flown to the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore with life-threatening injuries.
Mr. Anderson succumbed to his injuries at 7:40 p.m. Aug. 30, Cpl. Richard Wilson is continuing the investigation.
