Upper Marlboro, MD – On June 3 at approximately 10:15 p.m., Tfc. B. Key responded to the area of southbound Route 202 (Largo Road) at Robert Lewis Drive for a collision involving a Nissan passenger car and a Honda motorcycle (sport bike). Upon arriving to the scene, Key made contact with Emergency Medical Services, who were about to transport the operator of the motorcycle to Prince Georgeโ€™s Hospital. EMS personnel advised Key the injuries sustained by the operator of the motorcycle were life threatening. All lanes of travel, southbound were closed for the investigation. Maryland State Highway Administration was notified for a response to assist with traffic control. At approximately 10:50 p.m., Tfc K. Zarzecki, an ACI certified reconstructionist responded to the scene to conduct the post collision reconstruction.ย ย 

The motorcycle operatorโ€”identified as Michael R. Davis, 36 of Washington, DCโ€”was pronounced dead at Prince Georgeโ€™s Hospital.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย 

Troopers responded to the hospital to follow up with family members and make certain that next of kin had been notified. Preliminary investigation revealed that the motorcycle was traveling southbound on Route 202. The Nissan passenger vehicle, in attempt to make a left turn from westbound Robert Lewis Drive to continue northbound on Route 202 traveled into the motorcycleโ€™s lane of travel and was struck by the motorcycle.ย ย 

Police reported the Nissan was operated by Elijah Bailiff, 18 of Forestville. A 16-year-old female passenger in the Nissan was taken to Childrenโ€™s Hospital with minor injuries.

Police reported the motorcycle is listed as stolen through Howard County and the tags are stolen through Virginia.
