Onย Sept. 3,ย at 5 p.m., Troopers from the Prince Frederick Barrack conducted a sobriety checkpoint on MD Route 260 (Chesapeake Beach Road) near Wesley Stinnett Boulevard in Chesapeake Beach.ย 

During the checkpoint, an automated license plate scanner was also used.ย This device scans passing plates and automatically runs them through MVA databases.ย During the event, 1,009 vehicles were checked by troopers at the checkpoint and 2,280 license plates were scanned.ย 

The statistical results are as follows:ย Two DUI arrests, one drug arrest, four open warrants served, four suspended tags, seventeen suspended driverโ€™s licenses, nineteen Vehicle Emissions Inspection Program suspensions, and five MSP tag pickup orders.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย
