Police, fire and rescue units from Lexington Park and Hollywood were called to the scene of a multi-car accident at the intersection of Patuxent Beach Rd and Oak Dr at 5:35 yesterday afternoon.
Involved were a Plymouth Neon, Chrysler PT Cruiser, a GMC Jimmy and Toyota Truck. The Neon and PT Cruiser were both occupied with injured people who had to be extricated from vehicles prior to being transported to area hospitals.
The last extraction occurred at 6:13 and overall 5 people were transported to the hospital. Abulances from Calvert, Lexington Park and Hollywood transported the victims, four, to St. Mary’s Hospital and One to Calvert Memorial.
