NAMI Family Support Groups are for individuals 18 years and older who are family members of, or care about someone, who has a mental illness. The Family Support Group is a place that offers respect, understanding, encouragement, and hope.

Family Support Groups are led by NAMI trained family members who are also working to support a loved oneโ€™s recovery from mental illness. They understand the challenges faced by individuals who live with mental illness, and the ones who love them. Meetings are held in a flexible, casual, and confidential environment.

The Family Support Group in Prince Frederick will meet for the first time on Oct.ย  22 at Southern Maryland Community Network, 305 Prince Frederick Blvd.ย  Meetings will be held monthly on the fourth Thursday of the month, from 7:15 to 8:45 pm.ย  The next meeting of the Family Support Group in Charlotte Hall is October 8, 7 to 8:30 p.m., at Alternatives for Youth and Families, 30049 Business Center Drive.
