PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. — Natelli Holdings will host an information session on Monday, April 6, to speak about its approach to data center development and the proposed Appeal Digital Park and regional park.

The session will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Patuxent High School at 12485 Southern Connector Blvd. in Lusby. The doors will open at 5:30 p.m. The announcement on the Calvert County Government website says that attendees can “participate in interactive breakout sessions and have your questions answered by experts.”

Registration is not required for this event.

The information session follows a similar event hosted by Amazon AWS at Calvert Middle School at the end of March. The event included a presentation by AWS business development executive Becky Ford, a Q&A and breakout sessions to address specific topics.

Natelli Holdings presented its preliminary plans for a data center at the March 24 BOCC meeting. The plan includes a data center campus with multiple buildings called Appeal Digital Park. Notably, the plan also includes an investment to build a public park in the county.

Natelli’s presentation said that a third-party study concluded that development and construction of the facility will exceed $3 billion. This does not include any recordation tax, permit fees or other local fees. The study estimated county tax revenue of $3 million per year in the first two years for the county during the construction phase.

Neither project has officially been proposed to the county at this time. Residents can find more information on data centers on the county’s FAQ page.
