Byng, Oklahoma — News photographer Richard Barron caught Oklahoma Highway Patrol Lieutenant Brett Sayre taking — what looks like — a selfie with a fire truck.
In reality, Sayre was standing on the bumper trying to get a signal to send important case photos to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol public information officer.
“I really was getting a signal to send pics to the PIO Lieutenant,” Sayre said.
Of course, the internet and firefighters have to give him a hard time.
One firefighter said, “😂I won’t take a selfie in front of a cop car but they are my heroes too! 😂😂.”
And, “Even Hi-Pos have heroes!”
Thankfully Sayre is a good sport and laughed along with all who found humor in this candid shot.
