Barnes and Noble Nook – Drawing
Two Nooks will be given away. One for the North end and one for the South end participating communities.
Bullying, a part of life? Maybe, but does it have to be? NO. The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office sees and understands the growing trends in technology, our youth, and our adult community. Bullying isn’t isolated to children; as a matter of fact adults face bullies in the workplace and the community too.
Our children learn how to handle these situations from us…you…the parent. The Sheriff’s Office has posted three illustrated book series called “Time for Kids Extra” distributed by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, National bullying Prevention Campaign. An e-book written my Rita Y. Toews “The Bully” and “Bullying Online and at School” resource book for Parents.
We make the change together! Let’s celebrate a “No Bully Zone”, as part of our National Night Out event. What a great way to ease into the upcoming school year, here are the rules.
