The upcoming homestand features the first Military Brach Day of the 2017 season, honoring the U.S. Navy. There will also be a celebration of Irish culture during the first-ever Irish Heritage Day. In addition, the homestand includes several fan-favorite events for the entire family โ including the dogs! Pups in the Park returns to Nationals Park, the first Youth Baseball & Softball day of the season will take place, and Weather Day is back for the seventh year.
The Nationals have partnered with Major League Baseball to launch a customized app to enhance the guest experience at Nationals Park. Nationals fans are now able to buy and manage tickets, access news, promotions, in-game activities, and discounts – all from their phone! Promotions for each game during the upcoming homestand are below.
FRIDAY, APRIL 28
โข K Street Section: The Nationals are excited to announce a new superfan section at Nationals Park, the K Street Section. During the last Friday home game of each month, fans can purchase a special ticket package that includes a field level ticket in Section 108, an exclusive T-shirt to wear during the game, and a โK-cardโ to help cheer on the Nationalsโ pitchers. โข Team Store Specials: During the weekend series, exclusive Nationals/Mets Rivalry T-shirts will be available in the Main Team Store, and fans will receive free jersey customization with the purchase of a red replica jersey. โข Pups in the Park #1 Presented by Budweiser: On Saturday, Nationals fans and their canine friends can enjoy the first Pups in the Park of the 2017 season presented by Budweiser. Fans and their pups will enjoy the designated Pup Zone in the Family Picnic Area, featuring pet sitters and representatives from the Humane Rescue Alliance and Fetch! Pet Care. All proceeds from dog tickets benefit the Humane Rescue Alliance. Saturdayโs event is sold out, but the next Pups in the Park will be held on May 13. โข Budweiser Terrace Entertainment: Karaoke Night, featuring DJ Stylus Chris and JCC Entertainment International, will take place at the Budweiser Terrace starting at 11:00 a.m.

โข Youth Baseball & Softball Day #1 Presented by Inova: The Nationals welcome all area teams and leagues to the 12th annual Youth Baseball & Softball Day presented by Inova. All players and coaches are invited to participate in a pregame parade around the warning track and kids 12 and under can enjoy Kids Run the Bases following the game. The first 5,000 youth participating in the pregame parade will receive a Nationals athletic compression sleeve courtesy of Inova Sports Medicine. Tickets can be purchased at nationals.com/littleleague. The next Youth Baseball & Softball Day presented by Inova will be held on June 25.
โข Kids Run the Bases: All kids ages 4 through 12 will have the opportunity to run the bases after Sunday home games, weather permitting. โข Irish Heritage Day: Celebrate Irish culture with authentic Irish dancing, food, and music during the first-ever Irish Heritage Day at Nationals Park. During the game against the Diamondbacks, there will be Irish-themed activations throughout the ballpark, including a performance by the Danny Burns Band at the Budweiser Terrace, and the D.C. Fire Department Pipe & Drums and multiple Irish Dance Schools performing in Center Field Plaza. Special guests will participate in the pregame ceremony, and the Irish Ambassador to the United States, the Honorable Anne Anderson, will throw out the gameโs ceremonial first pitch. Special menu items for Tuesdayโs game include the Corned Beef Stack tater tots at See. You. Tater. (Section 106). Fans who purchased a VIP Baseline Reserved ticket will get access to a pregame festival where they will be able to sample food and drink from local Irish bars and restaurants. โข Military Branch Days: U.S. Navy Day, the first of the 2017 Military Branch Days, honors and celebrates the U.S. Navy. Representatives from the U.S. Navy will participate in the pregame ceremony and be special guests of the Nationals for the Salute to Service. Highlights will include:
o U.S. Navy Drill Team will perform in center field as part of the pregame ceremony
o Acting Secretary of the Navy Sean Stackley will administer the U.S. Navy oath of enlistment to 10 new sailors and the U.S. Navy oath of re-enlistment to three current sailors
o 225 Top Sailors from throughout the National Capital Region will line the field for the National Anthem performance
o U.S. Navyย Color Guard will present our nationโs colors
o Musician 1st Class Kenny Ray Horton, U.S. Navy Band, will perform the National Anthem
o Ceremonial first pitch will be thrown by Intelligence Specialist 2nd Class Sean Grimes, Secretary of the Navy Sailor of the Year
o Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy Steven Giordano will deliver the lineup card
o Rear Admiral Dawn Cutler, Navy Chief of Information, will deliver the game ball to the starting pitcher
o Play Ball announcement made by Utilitiesman 2nd Class Bryan Delarmente, Naval District Washington Junior Sailor of the Quarter

โข Weather Day: The Nationals have partnered with members of the FOX 5 Weather Team to host students from across the D.C. area for the seventh annual Weather Day. Before the team faces the Arizona Diamondbacks, FOX 5โs Tucker Barnes, Sue Palka, Allison Seymour, Caitlin Roth and Mike Thomas will conduct an interactive presentation to educate local students on the various types of weather conditions in the region and how they affect a Nationals baseball game. Parking options for Nationals fans start at $20 and are available online at nationals.com/parking. Fans are encouraged to purchase parking in advance to ensure a space in their desired zone.
Please note that Metro SafeTrack is in effect. Fans should consider alternate forms of travel to and from the ballpark, including ride-hailing services, the D.C. Circulator from Union Station, biking to the ballpark or the baseball boat from Old Town Alexandria. BALLPARK SAFETY
Nationals Park is a completely non-smoking and tobacco-free facility per District of Columbia law. There is no exception for electronic cigarettes or any other type of smoking device, or for smokeless tobacco or any other type of tobacco product. Guests wishing to smoke or use tobacco products must go to the designated smoking area at the First Base Gate. Guests wishing to exit Nationals Park to smoke or use tobacco products must present a valid ticket and receive a wristband before exiting Nationals Park. Guests wishing to reenter Nationals Park must return through the metal detectors with a valid ticket and assigned wristband.
MLB and the Nationals require that all people entering Nationals Park walk through a metal detector or be screened with handheld metal detectors to search for prohibited items. This includes a thorough inspection of all jackets, coats, packages, bags, backpacks, purses and any other containers brought to any of the Nationals Park entry gates.
