After a big win in Game 4, the Washington Nationals look to clinch a spot in the next round of the postseason when they host Game 5 of the National League Division Series on Thursday, October 12 at 8:08 p.m. The game against the Chicago Cubs will be televised exclusively on TBS. ALL GATES will open at 6:00 p.m.

Seats for all potential NLDS games at Nationals Park are SOLD OUT, and grandstand seating will not be available for purchase day-of-game. Limited released tickets and standing room-only tickets may become available at nationals.com/Postseason.

Fans should be sure to check that they bring the correct NLDS ticket to Game 5 (Home Game 3), as anyone with an incorrect ticket will not be admitted into the ballpark.

The Nationals want all fans to enjoy the entirety of the postseason experience, and are encouraging fans to plan ahead and come to the ballpark early. Fans are encouraged to enter the ballpark through the gate closest to their seating area to avoid congestion at the Center Field Gates. ALL GATES will open two hours before first pitch to allow fans time to enjoy pregame festivities, and fans entering the ballpark through ALL GATES will receive a rally towel. To ensure everyone is in their seats before the pregame ceremonies begin, please consider arriving early to the ballpark and leaving backpacks, bags and extra items at home.

In addition, the Nationals are encouraging fans to wear red for all NLDS games at Nationals Park, as the team continues its #OnePursuit.

GAME 5 SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

Game 5 pregame ceremony will include:
·       The U.S. Army Parachute Team, known as the Golden Knights, performing in the air and parachuting onto the field prior to the game. The Golden Knights are one of only three Department of Defense-sanctioned aerial demonstration teams.
·       Ceremonial first pitch thrown by a special guest
·       Color Guard presented by U.S. Marine Corps Honor Guard
·       National Anthem performed by Adalia Jimenez 
·       Lineup card delivery by Brittany Apgar, one-handed pitcher for the all-girls D.C. Force baseball team
·       Game ball delivery by U.S. Marine Corps Gunnery Sgt. Sara Pacheco, Chief Instructor at the Force Fitness Readiness Center at Marine Corps Base Quantico (Va.), and a member of the All-Marine Running Team
·       Play Ball! announcement via a special video recording featuring former Washington Senators OF Frank Howard
·       God Bless America performed by TSgt. Mandi Harper, U.S. Air Force Band, Singing Sergeants

FAN PROMOTIONS & ENTERTAINMENT

·       Fans entering the ballpark through ALL GATES will receive a Nationals red rally towel presented by M&M’s.
·       Fans will have the opportunity to win big cash prizes at every postseason game through the 50/50 Raffle at Nationals Park. 50/50 Raffle tickets will be sold at Sections 108, 120, 138 and 311 from the time gates open until the 7th inning stretch. Half of the proceeds from the 50/50 Raffle benefit the Nationals Dream Foundation.
·       Face painters, caricaturists and balloon artists will be available at the Family Picnic Area. Face painters will also be available at the Devils Backbone Left Field Lodge. Activities will begin once the ballpark gates are open and continue 30 minutes into the start of the game.
·       DJ Flex will perform at Center Field Plaza starting when gates open until 30 minutes prior to first pitch.
·       The U.S. Air Force Band, Max Impact, will perform at the Budweiser Terrace starting when gates open until 30 minutes prior to first pitch.
·       DJ Alkimist will perform at the Devils Backbone Left Field Lodge starting when gates open until 30 minutes prior to first pitch.
·       DJ Stylus Chris will perform at the First Base Gate starting when gates open until 30 minutes prior to first pitch.
·       DJ Trayze will perform at the NatMobile on the Timeline Walk starting one hour prior to gates opening until 30 minutes prior to first pitch.

GETTING TO THE BALLPARK

Due to an anticipated sellout crowd, fans are strongly encouraged to allow extra time when planning their travel to Nationals Park. There will be plenty of pregame excitement both inside and outside the ballpark, and we want fans to arrive early to enjoy the festivities!

Fans can also get a ride to and from the ballpark at the tap of a button using Uber, the official ride-share partner of the Washington Nationals. On June 25, new permanent hours went into effect for the entire Metrorail system. On Thursday, the second-to-last Green Line train to Greenbelt will depart the Navy Yard station at 11:02 p.m. The last Green line train to Branch Ave. will depart the Navy Yard station at 11:48 p.m. Fans are encouraged to review the new Metro schedule at https://wmata.com/service/status/details/june-25-changes.cfm.

Fans should also consider alternate forms of travel to and from the ballpark, including biking to the ballpark or the baseball boat from Alexandria. In addition, the D.C. Circulator will be offering extended service, as well as FREE rides on the Union Station-Navy Yard route after every Nationals home victory during the 2017 Postseason. BALLPARK SAFETY

Nationals Park is a completely non-smoking and tobacco-free facility per District of Columbia law. There is no exception for electronic cigarettes or any other type of smoking device, or for smokeless tobacco or any other type of tobacco product. Guests wishing to smoke or use tobacco products must go to the designated smoking area at the First Base Gate. Guests wishing to exit Nationals Park to smoke or use tobacco products must present a valid ticket and receive a wristband before exiting Nationals Park. Guests wishing to reenter Nationals Park must return through the metal detectors with a valid ticket and assigned wristband.

MLB and the Nationals require that all people entering Nationals Park walk through a metal detector or be screened with handheld metal detectors to search for prohibited items. This includes a thorough inspection of all jackets, coats, packages, bags, backpacks, purses and any other containers brought to any of the Nationals Park entry gates.
