Northrop Grumman Corp., San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $35,595,116 modification to a previously awarded cost-plus-fixed-fee contract (N00019-10-C-0018) to exercise an option for operations and maintenance services in support of U.S. Navy Global Hawk Maritime Demonstration. Work will be performed in Patuxent River, Md. (75 percent), and outside the United States (25 percent), and is expected to be completed in September 2012. Energetics Technology Center, Inc., Waldorf, Md., is being awarded a $23,332,073 firm-fixed-price research and development for work in support of energetics concepts development for enhanced blast weapon technology demonstrations sponsored by the Office of Naval Research and Defense Threat Reduction Agency. This requirement is for advanced research in the following specific research areas of analysis and technical investigation projects for traumatic brain injury, energetic informatics, energetic systems engineering, autonomous systems, and energetic materials. Work will be performed in La Plata, Md., and is expected to be completed by August 2016. Contract funds in the amount of $220,000 expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via a broad agency announcement, with eight offers submitted.
