LEONARDTOWN, MD – The St. Mary’s County Board of Appeals will hold a Public Hearing Wednesday, June 17, 2020, at 6:30 p.m. in the Commissioners Meeting Room of the Chesapeake Building, located at 41770 Baldridge Street, Leonardtown, Maryland. The purpose of the meeting is for the Board of Appeals to hear the following cases:

CUAP 17-1296, Hall Airstrip: Requests conditional use approval pursuant to Chapter 25 of the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance for use type 88, Airport, Landing Strip and Heliport. The property is located at 39200 Hodges Road, Avenue, MD as shown on Tax Map 39, Grid 15, Parcel 281, in the Rural Preservation District (RPD) Zone and Resource Conservation Area (RCA) Overlay.

ZAAP 19-110-023 Tiede Estates Subdivision Appeal: Appeal of an administrative decision pursuant to Chapter 23 of the St. Mary’s County Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance to appeal the decision the Director of Land Use & Growth Management made January 8, 2020 determining the property described below is a part of Persimmon Hills Subdivision, Section one. The property is located at 27890 Three Notch Rd, Mechanicsville (Abbey Place abandoned) as shown on Tax Map 9, Grid 15, Parcel 339, Lot Open Space A, Section one of the Persimmon Hills subdivision in the Rural Preservation District (RPD) Zone.

Due to social distancing guidelines at this time, the public hearing will not be open to the general public. Public Hearings may be viewed on St. Mary’s County Government Channel 95 and YouTube.
