Officer Involved in Rear-End Collision on Three Notch Road

CALIFORNIA, Md. – While officers directed traffic due to the traffic signals being out of service at the intersection of rt 4 and rt 235, an officer rear-ended a vehicle near by.

At approximately 4:26 p.m., on March 24, police, fire and rescue personnel responded to the motor vehicle accident involving a deputy on Three Notch Road in the area of St. Andrews Church Road.

Crews arrived to find a rear-end collision in the left south bound lane. No injuries have been reported due to the crash. The deputy involved in the accident was Cpl. Glen Knott.

The circumstances/cause of the accident are under investigation.
