Itโ€™s fall.ย  The corn is harvested and itโ€™s time for our local Hogettes, Spiggy and Friends.

Spiggy and Friends will host the charity golf tournament at the Chesapeake Hills Golf Club, 11352 H.G. Trueman Road in Lusby, on Friday, Oct. 3, at 9 a.m.

Thirty-eight teams, each paying $500 for a foursome, have signed up to play.ย  For a $1,000, a three-member group can tee off with an alumni of theย  Washington Redskins.

Unable to exhaust themselves playing golf, Spiggy andย Friends are scheduled to watch the Redskins play Philadelphia on big screen TVย  at the American Legion Post 274, 11820 Hg Trueman Road in Lusby, from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 5. You can join them, Redskins cheerleaders and special invited guests for a $25 donation.ย  Food, beer and soft drinks are included.ย ย  Proceeds will be donated to childrenโ€™s charities including the Childrenโ€™s Hospital in Washington, D.C.ย

The Hogettes are a group of 12 male Washington Redskins fans who have been wearing womenโ€™s dresses, garden party hats and pig snouts since 1983 in order to cheer for their favorite NFL team and to raise money for charity.
