A Bowie man took the drive to Lottery headquarters on May 14 to claim a $250,000 top prize on the $10 Money scratch-off.

“My heart was racing with excitement,” he said, when one of his winning numbers matched with the $250,000 prize.

The scratch-off has the artwork of $100 bill and the landscaper said he was drawn to the design.

“I bought two tickets. The first one wasn’t a winner, but the second one was,” he said with a smile.

He plans to use his prize on home improvement projects around the house and to pay off his car.

The winning ticket was sold in Bowie at the 7-Eleven at 15700 Mount Oak Road. The Prince George’s County store picks up a $1,000 bonus for selling the ticket.

The Money scratch-off game started February 6, 2026 with five $250,000 top prizes. Three top prizes remain unclaimed. In addition to our Bowie winner, an Elkton man claimed a top prize in April. Three of the four $50,000 prizes are still unclaimed, along prizes ranging from $10 to $1,000.
