Don’t know what happened, but have seen speeding in that area. Now its time to move the speed camera from St. Andrew’s rd to this location. Give drivers fair notice that stronger action will happen. SMSCO/MSP needs to dedicate some radar control to St. Andrew’s road.
Don’t know what happened but whatever it was I have the solution.
How about waiting until the investigation determines what happened before opining?
Friday afternoon… on the way home after a long week… I would not be surprised if someone fell asleep and crossed the center line and went head on… Speed may have had nothing to do with it. The blind curves in front of the post office and firehouse make that stretch tricky.
Someone was looking out for us though. I went in to the post office to pickup our mail and there was no accident. I came back out a minute later and it had happened. Timing is everything.
Smartphone is the first thing that comes to mind.
Lumpkins boy was drunk and speeding.
It has been determined.
