The crash was reported at approximately 5:55 a.m. on July 6, 2026, in the area of Leonardtown Road and Gallant Green Road.

A 911 caller reported a two-vehicle crash involving a Keller bus and another vehicle.

The back of the Keller bus had reportedly caught fire, but callers believed the fire had been put out with an extinguisher. The bus was later reported to be smoking.

Emergency crews arrived and reported one vehicle on Route 5 and the bus on Gallant Green Road. Responders indicated the bus was not occupied.

A 50-year-old man from the other vehicle was evaluated by EMS and transported to Charles Regional Medical Center.

Crews were initially unable to locate the bus driver, but later indicated the driver was found and did not request EMS.

Police are investigating the crash.
